Breakfast & After School Club

Please note that our Breakfast and After School Clubs are currently full and a waiting list is in operation

Breakfast Club

We have a Breakfast Club here at Worcesters Primary running daily from 8am in the dining hall. The children are provided with a healthy breakfast with a choice of cereal, toast, croissants etc, with a range of jams, fresh fruit, yogurts and fresh juices. We also provide a hot option daily such as scrambled eggs, beans on toast and porridge.

After breakfast a range of stimulating board games, puzzles, construction toys, reading and colouring are offered. Three members of staff supervise the children and prepare the food and take the children to their classrooms for the start of the school day at 8:50am.

Limited places are offered on a first come, first served basis and subject to the child’s behaviour in school being consistently good. If the Club is full, your child’s name will be placed on the waiting list.

The cost of the club is £10.00 per week per child (£2.00 per day). This payment is needed if your child is absent from school in order to maintain a place and cover the costs to the school. Payment for the week must be made on Monday mornings to keep the place (cash or cheques payable to ‘Worcesters Primary School’). Payment may be made in advance for a block of weeks if this is preferable.

Worcesters Walking Bus

Our ‘Walking Bus’ service runs on a daily basis. Two members of staff meet children at the following pick up points:

Pick Up 1
Top of the underpass in Hoe Lane on the East side of the A10 at 8:15am and leave promptly at 8:20am.

Pick Up 2
At the corner of Hoe Lane and Pentrich Avenue, meeting at 8:25am and leaving promptly at 8:30am for school.

The Walking Bus operates whatever the weather, so children need a waterproof coat and suitable shoes (boots can be worn if the child has a pair of school shoes to change into). Children will be expected to be well behaved and follow the adult’s instructions at all times to ensure their safety.

The aim of this service is to provide an alternative to travelling by car and to help to alleviate the traffic conjestion outside of the school.

Currently there are no spaces on the Walking Bus but a waiting list is in operation.
